LITTLE OWLS – NIGHT CARE

LITTLE OWLS · NIGHT CARE

It is essential to acknowledge that many parents face various circumstances that may require them to hire overnight childcare services. These circumstances range from the need to attend to work-related obligations, to personal reasons, such as illness, vacations, or even the birth of a new child. In fact, statistics show that approximately 40% of American children, which translates to around 31 million kids, have at least one parent who works outside of the traditional daytime schedule. In addition to providing parents with the time they need to attend to their responsibilities, overnight childcare services also offer socialization opportunities for children. They can be an enriching and educational experience for young kids.

What hours of operation do you offer?

Our overnight care is available from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am, with extended hours available upon request. We offer two options: half-night care from 8:00 pm to 1:00 am and full-night care from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am.

What is included in the fee?

Our policy ensures that every child receives their own individual set of toiletries and fresh linens to promote hygiene and cleanliness. In addition, we provide a dental kit to ensure that their oral health is also taken care of. However, please note that parents are responsible for providing snacks, meals, diapers, wipes, and extra clothes for their children while they are under our care.

Nannies vs overnight care.

A nanny, also referred to as a babysitter, is an individual who provides childcare services in the child’s own residence. Unlike child daycare facilities, nannies are typically not mandated to hold any form of certification, background check, educational background, or license, unless the parent specifically requests it. The hiring of a nanny is generally considered more expensive than enrolling a child in an overnight care center.

An overnight care center is a facility that is managed by a center director and is usually housed in a commercial building. The center’s personnel or teachers possess an educational background in child care and have undergone training in CPR/first aid. This guarantees that the children under their care receive the necessary attention and are kept safe in the event of any emergencies. The center provides flexible daily and weekly packages to ensure that each situation fits appropriately.

How would I know how my child is?

Little Owl has its own mobile app where parents and authorized users can access their child’s profile. The app also includes a messaging system and updates with pictures and videos.

What safety measures do you have?

Our facility is fully gated, and the only access is through a camera system where parents ring a bell and are allowed to access the premises.
